Sasikala’s husband Loganathan is an employee of a private security firm and they have a 19-year-old daughter. According to the police, Loganathan got a share of his ancestral property recently.
Since then, Sasikala has been asking Loganathan to register the property to her name, but Loganathan denied. On Tuesday night, an argument broke between the couple and on Wednesday morning, after Loganathan went to work, Sasikala went to the terrace and lied down on the edge near the water tank. Her daughter, who noticed it, went to Sasikala and asked her to come down. But, Sasikala said that she will wait there for one day and if Loganathan failed to register the property in her name, she would jump down. Meanwhile, their neighbours gathered and tried to convince Sasikala. But she refused to budge. Following that, the St Thomas Mount Police and the Fire and Rescue Service team were informed. The team rescued her by diverting Sasikala’s attention while she was speaking to her daughter. An inquiry is on.
