Jewellery worth Rs 15L stolen from doctor’s house

The jewellery belong to Padmaja, managing director of a private clinic run by her husband Dr Gireesh. On Thursday, she was checking her valuables when she found three diamond chains worth Rs 3 lakh each, eight gold bangles worth Rs 3 lakh, five pairs of gold and diamond earrings worth Rs 2.5 lakh and three gold rings worth Rs 50,000 found missing. When she checked the CCTV footage, she found out her temporary help Daulath Nisha Mohammed Ji laying the hands on the jewellery on February 25. She later left for her hometown on February 27 after their permanent help reported for duty.

Based on Padmaja’s complaint, Kilapuk police have registered a case and have launched a hunt for the suspect. Further investigation is on. 

Unidentified burglars escaped with two DSLR cameras and six lenses worth lakhs of rupees from a photo studio in Kilpauk.

The studio, located on Spurtank Road, is owned by E Amrita of Kilpauk. Amrita was away in Bengaluru for work since March 10, and had returned to the city only on Friday. She found the equipment missing and lodged a complaint at Kilpauk police stationon Saturday.

In her complaint, Amrita said the keys of the studio were left with four other staff members. Since the cupboard was not broken open, police suspect that one of the staff members might have stolen the cameras. Further investigation is on.
