Minor sexually assaults 4-yr-old girl, nabbed under Pocso

The Thousand Lights all-women police, who investigated the case, said that the incident happened on March 8. The victim, daughter of an auto driver, was taken to the terrace and sexually assaulted by the accused, who is also her neighbour.

The girl informed her mother about the assault and based on a complaint by her father, the police registered a case under Pocso Act and detained the juvenile.

The Thiru Vi Ka Nagar all-women police arrested a 26-year-old man for impregnating a 21-year-old woman on the promise of marriage and threatening to murder her.

The accused, Sathish (25), is an engineering graduate and he was in relationship with the woman in his neighbourhood. After she was impregnated, Sathish refused to marry her and allegedly threatened her. She approached the Thiru Vi Ka Nagar all-women police and a case was registered. After investigation, the police arrested Sathish and remanded him in judicial custody.
