Engg student from Delhi held for drug peddling
A 21-year-old college student was arrested for drug peddling in Guduvancherry on the city outskirts, on Wednesday. He is accused of involving in supplying ganja to youngsters after college hours.

The arrested was identified as Pranav Kumar Jha of Delhi. He had rented out a room in Potheri and was pursuing final year in B Tech at a private college in the locality.
Based on a tip-off that ganja is being supplied near a software firm in Thailavaram by youngsters, the Guduvancherry police surrounded Pranav and caughthim red-handed.
Upon inquiries, the police found that the student after returning from college involved in supplying ganja to youngsters in the locality.
Further, the police checked his backpack to find inside a few packets of ganja that weighed around 2 kg. The police subsequently seizedthe narcotic.
Pranav was soon arrested and remanded in judicial custody. Investigations are on to to trace the person who supplied him with ganja.
