Govt bus rams two-wheeler, rider dies

The deceased was identified as Siranjivi of Shanthi Nagar in Anagaputhur. He was a carpenter. When Siranjivi was travelling on Kundrathur-Pallavaram Road on Thursday night, an MTC bus rammed his two-wheeler from the behind.

In the impact, Siranjivi suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to the Chromepet Government Hospital. But he was declared he was brought dead.

The Chrompet traffic investigation police registered a case and arrested the bus driver, Ravishankar (58) of Maraimalai Nagar, for further inquiry.
