I am a college student, but my love for event planning began when I was in Class 12. I can’t tell you what it is exactly, but the whole concept is something I like. I founded my own event management company alongside completing my studies. Fifteen days before the lockdown, we were asked to stop all large events. So, we have been without work for the last month or so. It’s difficult, but we are trying to stay positive and manage. We have had some pending payments from past events. Using that, I ensured to pay the staff. There’s not going to be much hope for events to be held before June, so we are pushing everything to July. Even for the events that were scheduled, we have planned and drafted everything for a later date. Our team may not be meeting as regularly as before, but we are still communicating with each other regularly. We video call each other in the evenings. Even my clients video call me regularly, almost every day, to discuss their event. Because I’m so young, they see me as their brother and so they are very open and free with me. It makes me happy that I have such clients. I’m looking at this from a positive space. Since I’m meeting my clients and friends and colleagues online, it’s doesn’t feel like a lockdown. It’s like I’ve just been chilling at home. I’m going to keep pushing until this is over, and then get back to work.
