The idea behind the in-house carnival was to give people a daily dose of entertainment from the comfort of their sofas.

“We started as a seven-day festival featuring seven artists from various mediums. A few of the artistes include beatboxer Sowbarnika, Tamil rapper MC Devesh, violinist Akkarsh Kashyap and flautist Ashish. More people started watching the events daily and we thought of adding mini-workshops as well.

Then, we organised virtual workshops on photography, food and magic. The response to the workshop sessions was great,” says Nitin Srikanth one of the organisers. The trio is planning to bring more professionals in the upcoming sessions of The Sofa Stories.
