MMC hostel rooms shut after 2 students test positive
The Greater Chennai Corporation has sealed rooms of a hostel of Madras Medical College (MMC) after three postgraduate students tested positive for COVID-19, on Sunday.

According to a Corporation source, of the three students, two are staying in the hostel and one student was attending the classes from Chintadripet. “Soon after the students were tested positive, they were admitted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital. As they are staying in the hostel, their rooms have been sealed,” the source added. The civic body has isolated and taken samples from other students and family members, who had come in contact with those infected. It is learnt that the affected students have been working in the COVID-19 ward in the hospital.
