After the lockdown, all our interactions have moved to online platforms. There are webinars, group chats and even concerts available to everyone worldwide. While technology enables us to connect easily, endless presentations, conferences, and talks can get boring after a point. Chennai-based HQ Leadership International that is specialised in leadership training with horses has come up with an interesting virtual workshop session with their horses. There will be four modules and the first module of the online horse-powered program called ‘Virtual to Reality’ will be held on April 24.

“We are specialised in leadership training with horses and usually clients visit our centre in the city for a unique training experience with these powerful animals. Now, things have changed and we decided to go online through our new program, Virtual to Reality. We have connected our horses online, for leaders to gain a new perspective, challenge their communication skills and improve emotional intelligence,” says Isabelle Hasi, director of HQ Leadership International.

Leadership training with horses is a unique and highly effective method to improve leadership skills. The HorseDream concept followed by HQ Leadership was developed in Germany more than 20 years ago.

The first module that will be held on April 24 is for managers and teams at all levels. “Horses are honest and respond to communication, appreciation and empathy in a very similar way to people with the significant difference that horses respond instantly and without any prejudice. The upcoming workshop is designed in such a way that it helps to develop more effective leadership strategies through unique exercises with horses. In the workshop, participants will analyse their leadership style, receive direct feedback and adopt new strategies for clear communication and effective leadership. At the two-hour session, the trainers and coaches at our centre will guide the participants through the interaction with horses and connect the learnings to the business context,” she tells us.

Isabelle and the team have planned four modules of the Virtual to Reality program. The first module will focus on a positive attitude and leading change. The second module is all about digital teamwork and group dynamics. The third module will talk about decision making and creating empathy. And the final module is the live game: virtual to reality.
