South Korean engineers back in city
With the State allowing industrial units to start functioning again with restrictions, 289 engineers of a car manufacturing company arrived here from South Korea in a special flight on Friday. They are now under quarantine at the company guesthouse in Sriperumbudur.

Sources said after the special flight landed in Chennai on Friday, all 289 passengers were subjected to thermal scanning before being taken to the guesthouse. The engineers who were working in the car factory in Sriperumbudur had returned to South Korea for a vacation, but were unable to come back due to the lockdown. After the lockdown conditions were eased, visas were arranged for them with special permission from the Centre.
