Her mother, the widow of Assistant Commissioner Mohamed Gori who died in a road accident in 2011, lives in Vimanam Nagar, Pozhichalur.

According to police sources, the family hails from Rajapalayam in Virudhunagar but had been staying in Vimanam Nagar in Pozhichalur.

She is survived by mother and an elder brother. Sources said that she wanted to be a pilot from childhood and the family shifted to Vimanam Nagar so that she could see flights take off and land every day. A year ago, Anisha joined a private pilot training institute in Odisha.

On Monday morning, Anisha lost control of the aircraft while training with her trainer Sanjay Kumar Jha. Both of them died on the spot after the aircraft crash-landed. After preliminary investigations, the police said that a technical snag caused the plane to crash.

According to sources, Anisha’s mother Sherin is a heart patient and she was not informed of the death immediately. She was told that there has been an accident and Anisha was in the hospital.

On Monday night, Anisha’s brother took a flight to Odisha via Kolkata to bring his sister’s body back home. Sources said that the body would be taken to Rajapalayam directly.
