Trio tries to burgle pawn shop, 1 held

Around midnight, a police patrol team heard some noise near a pawn shop in Puludivakam junction owned by one Tulasiram. When they checked, officials found three men drilling the wall of the shop.

Seeing the police, the burglars tried to escape but one of them was caught. During inquiry, it was found that the accused’s father was working as a night watchman in the same locality, who sent his son for duty as he was not feeling well. Officials said the son and friends planned to target the pawnshop using the opportunity. A case has been registered and search is on to nab the other two.
