234 Indians, including 144 students from Russia, arrive in Chennai
As many as 234 Indians from Russia and Sri Lanka arrived at the Chennai airport on Friday and Saturday.

According to sources, all 90 passengers on the Friday flight from Sri Lanka were employees of a private ship company. They said the special flight that brought them to the city was arranged by their company.
After completing the Customs and Immigration checks, they were taken to hotels in the city as the company had opted paid quarantine for them. The COVID -19 test will be done for all of them in the hotels.
On Saturday morning, a special flight from Russia arrived at the Chennai airport with 144 Indians. All of them were students studying in Russia and after completing the routine checkup at the airport were taken to quarantine camps on special vehicles. Sources said 35 of them chose the free stay in Melakotaiyur and rest of the 109 passengers were taken to various hotels in Chennai.
