AIADMK ministers K Pandiarajan, Rajenthra Bhalaji and Kadambur Raju on Saturday blamed the opposition DMK for spreading falsehood related to the corona and Sathankulam issue.
“DMK leader MK Stalin has become the merchant of death infusing panic and fear among the public in the State. More than 50,000 people have recovered from corona. Daily, thousands of patients are getting discharged from corona wards in Tamil Nadu, but the opposition DMK is doing politics through corona,” Minister for Tamil development K Pandiarajan, who conducted a corona review meeting at Tondiarpet and Tiruvallur told reporters on Saturday.
The state is working tirelessly in attending the corona patients and there is a good recovery rate among the public. But the DMK as a principal has been opposing the medical initiatives taken up by the state, Pandiarajan said.
“There is a family feud between M K Stalin and Kanimozhi over scoring political points. Udayanidhi Stalin had also joined the race and wants to score over his aunt Kanimozhi in Sathankulam custodial death case,” Pandiarajan said pointing out that the investigation was progressing as per the court directions in the right path leading to arrest of accused, the minister said.
Kadambur Raju said that there were vested interests spreading rumours stating that the arrested Sathankulam inspector Sridhar is known to the minister.
“I don’t know why my name is dragged into this issue and there is nothing between me and the controversial inspector,” the Minister said.
