GR Ramya, former accountant of Vishal Film Factory, her assistant Sivaganesh, cashier Saravanan, her brothers Rajesh and Sabrish, and sister Radhika have been booked under six different sections including forgery charges.
In his complaint, Vishal Film Factory manager Harikrishnan had alleged that Ramya diverted the sums cited as TDS (tax deducted at source) and deposited them in the bank accounts of her siblings and submitted fake receipts and bank statements as if the taxes were paid to the government.
He had also stated that she, along with Sivaganesh and Saravanan, misused the firm’s letterhead and deleted important communications from the official e-mail ID. “During the auditing, we found that she had swindled money to the tune of Rs 45 lakh,” said the complaint.
After the complaint was lodged, Ramya, speaking to a private news channel, had claimed that she is ready to submit all the documents to come clean on the allegations. She also claimed that she knows how the actor evaded on tax payment, thus causing loss to the State exchequer.
