Bizman hacked to death inside office
A 38-year-old businessman was hacked to death inside his office by a five-member gang on Wednesday night and police arrested the suspects on Thursday.

The deceased Mahendran was running a goods carrier services and his wife is said to be pregnant. Police said Mahendran had an ongoing enmity with one Tamil Selvan (25) of the same area since 2015 and had already arrested the latter for assaulting Mahendran.
However, the enmity continued since Mahendran often verbally abused Tamil Selvan in public places and an argument erupted between them on Wednesday afternoon. Infuriated over the continuous harassment of Mahendran, Tamil Selvan decided to eliminate the former and went to his office on Wednesday night with his brother Tamil Maran and three others.
The gang hacked Mahendran and murdered him on the spot before fleeing the scene. On information, Tirunindravur police inspector Gunasekaran and team registered a case and nabbed the suspects within hours. They were remanded in judicial custody. The accused were identified as Tamil Selvan, Tamil Maran, Abhimanyu, Appu and Kishore.
Four held for murder of history-sheeter
Meanwhile, Koyambedu police arrested four persons in connection with history-sheeter Srikanth Raj’s murder in their jurisdiction.
The accused Poongavanam of Virugambakkam, Vellai Mani alias Vinothkumar and Narasimman of Alwarthirunagar, Kamalesh of Mettukuppam were remanded in judicial custody on Thursday and a hunt has been launched for two more suspects.
