Birth of Tamil month Adi sees large crowds in Chennai

The month of Adi is the next month after the Amman Temple Festivals. During the month of August, crowds of people flock to the shop streets as textiles and household items as they can be bought at discounted prices.

Despite the announcement of a curfew this year due to the Corona pandemic, the easing of small shops to large stores has been echoed.
