Gang-rape accused abuses daughters, faces Pocso charge
A 36-year-old man, who has a double murder and a gang rape case pending against him, has been held under Pocso Act for sexually assaulting own daughter and daughter of his live-in partner.

The accused, a history-sheeter from Tirunindravur, lived with his partner on Kambar Street with two children from his previous marriage and three children of the woman from her previous marriage.
When the woman goes out for work, the accused wooed his daughter, 16, and the woman’s daughter, 13, after buying them snacks and sexually assaulted them for the last few months.
After the girls informed the woman, she lodged a complaint at Avadi all-women police station. A case was registered and the accused was arrested under Pocso Act. He was remanded in judicial custody. He has a gang rape case against him at Tiruvallur all-women police station and a double murder case in Tondiarpet. Steps are being taken to detain him under Goondas Act.
Meanwhile, Ayanavaram police arrested a 21-year-old for kidnapping a minor girl and sexually assaulting her keeping her in confinement in Tiruttani. While the victim was rescued from railway police in Tiruttani and handed over to Ayanaravam all-women police recently since her grandmother had lodged a girl-missing complaint, accused G Venkatesh of Tiruttani was remanded in judicial custody. Police said the accused took the victim to Reni Gunta and Tirupathi as well and abused her.
In another incident in Uthiramerur, Kanchipuram, a 60-year-old has been held for impregnating a Class 7 girl.
