Surya Devi arrested for threatening Actress Vanitha

Recently, Actress Vanitha and her marriage to Peter Paul has been the talk of the town. The marriage initially created an attraction as it happened during the lock-down period. Later, it turned out to be a series of allegations and mudslinging incidents. It was reported that Peter Paul was married to Actress Vanitha, without getting legally divorced from his first marriage.

The issue created a stir in social media and many people condemned on the marriage. One such woman named Surya Devi continued to post videos abusing the actress and her marriage. Vanitha has also posted various comments in the form of videos in response to those comments.

Following this, actress Vanitha lodged a complaint against Surya Devi last week. The complaint read that Surya Devi was spreading slander and making death threats against her. Incidentally, Surya Devi had also lodged a complaint against actress Vanitha in Vadapalani. All these complaints were ordered to be investigated by the Vadapalani All Women Police Station.

Meanwhile, Surya Devi has been arrested by the Vadapalani All Women Police for posting defamatory and threatening videos against actress Vanitha in defiance of a warning.

It is to be noted that Surya Devi was arrested few years ago, in a similar case for abusing former Tamil Nadu BJP leader and current Telangana governor Tamizhisai Soundarajan.
