Chennai Vyasarpadi Rs 5 Doctor no more, political leaders condole his demise with the people
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami appreciated his good samaritan works and condoled his demise with his family and the people from Vyasarpadi who benefitted from his treatments.

Dr Thiruvengadam, famously known as Rs 5 doctor, from Vyasarpadi, Chennai passed away due to cardiac arrest on Sunday. Political leaders conveyed their condolences to his family and the people.
He initially started his practice by charging Rs 2 in 1973 in Vyasarpadi and continued to work towards the health and welfare of the poor people by charging no more than Rs 5 for a consultation.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami appreciated his good samaritan works and condoled his demise with his family and the people from Vyasarpadi who benefitted from his treatments.
DMK President MK Stalin took to his official twitter handle to convey his condolences to the doctor's family and the people.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan took to twitter as well to render her support to the family and prayer for his soul to rest in peace.
Dr Thiruvengadam is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
