The retired judge is seen speaking for nearly three minutes in the video, during which he refers to a letter that he had written mentioning names of a number of judges. He is heard warning that he would rape their wives in front of them in the Supreme court premises.

Questioning why no action was taken even after the letter, he says that he would make 15 apex court judges kneel down in front of the India Gate and sexually abuse them by bringing men from South Africa. There are two other men seen in the video, who remain silent.

A senior officer confirmed that a case has been registered against justice Karnan, but did not reveal details of the complainant not the action to follow. After the video surfaced, a group of advocates of Madras High Court had written to the Chief Justice of India seeking action against him. The issue has reached the Supreme Court after the Delhi Tamil Advocates Association filed a petition seeking action against the former judge and remove the video from the internet. Recently, the Tiruvanmiyur police had booked a case without naming him for allegedly trying to enter retired Supreme Court judge R Banumathi’s house in Kalakshetra Colony.
