Storm to disrupt rly service on November 24, 25

The Southern Railway on Monday announced the cancellation of two trains and partial cancellation of some other trains on November 24 and 25 in view of the Cyclone Nivar.

A Railway release here said that the Chennai Egmore-Thanjavur- Chennai Egmore Special was fully cancelled for two days from Tuesday. The Chennai Egmore-Tiruchchirappalli-Chennai Egmore Special was fully cancelled on November 25, when the Cyclone would make a land fall. The trains, commencing journey tomorrow would be partially cancelled. They included Mysuru-Mayiladuturai Special which is partially cancelled between Tiruchy and Mayiladuturai, Ernakulam-Karaikal Special partially cancelled between Tiruchy and Karaikal, Bhubaneswar-Puducherry special partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Puducherry. 

Trains partially cancelled on November 25 included Mayiladuturai-Mysuru Special partially cancelled between Mayiladuturai and Tiruchchirappalli, Karaikal-Ernakulam Special partially cancelled between Karaikal and Tiruchy, Coimbatore-Mayiladuturai Jan Shatabdi Special partially cancelled between Tiruchy and Mayiladuturai, Mayiladuturai-Coimbatore Jan Shatabdi Special partially cancelled between Mayiladuturai and Tiruchy, Puducherry-Bhubaneswar Special partially cancelled between Puducherry and Chennai Egmore, Puducherry-Howrah Superfast Special partially cancelled between Puducherry and Villuppuram. A full refund would be given for trains fully cancelled. For e-ticket holders, automatic refund would be granted. For tickets booked in railway counters, passengers should take refund from there on surrendering the tickets within 15 days of the scheduled departure of the train as against the regular norm of three days.
