Chief Minister MK Stalin paid floral tributes to former chief minister CN Annadurai on his 113th birth anniversary in Anna Salai, Chennai on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Stalin along with his ministers paid tributes to the Anna Statue in Anna Salai, today.

Earlier the state government had proposed to release 700 convicts serving life terms in various state prisons on the 113th birth anniversary of former chief minister CN Annadurai.

CN Annadurai popularly known as Anna also known as Arignar Anna or Perarignar Anna was the fifth and last Chief Minister of Madras State from 1967 until 1969 and first Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. He was the founder of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).
