Youth arrested for wheeling on his bike; 3 under-age boys held for stealing two-wheeler

Pondy Bazaar traffic investigation wing police arrested a 19-year-old boy for performing stunts on the road posing a threat to commuters and pedestrians.

S Isakki (19) of Pattabiram was caught wheeling on his bike for quite sometime at the junction of Nungambakkam Lake Area-Thirumalai Pillai Road on Friday morning.

He was sent for judicial remand in the evening. Senior traffic cops clarified that peace bonds were executed with the suspect in connection with a few old incidents, videos of which have gone viral.

Meanwhile, a policeman in Thousand Lights secured three schoolboys stealing a two-wheeler in the area. The A Grade I constable was returning home from duty on Friday night when he spotted the boys moving in a suspicious manner. Inquiries revealed that the under-age boys had stolen the bike from KK Nagar.

Further investigation is going on in both incidents.
