Drunk man attacks SB-CID DSP in Mylapore; arrested

CHENNAI: The incident happened on Friday night when A Arularasu Justin, DSP with SB-CID at the police headquarters, was passing by the New Street in Mylapore in his car for official work. A man named Prince Patric of the same locality stopped the officer’s car under the influence of alcohol and developed an argument with the driver. The DSP got down and asked the man to move away, but the accused hurled verbal abuses at him and attacked him. He was secured by the DSP and his driver and handed over to the Mylapore police. He was booked under five sections and remanded in judicial custody.
