Duo lands with 10 kg ganja at Perambur railway station, held

The accused Mohammed Rahawakar (21) of Royapettah and H Irshad Mia (36) of Assam were secured at Mangalapuram on Sunday. Inquiries revealed that they returned from Kolkata by train and got down at Perambur railway station and a search into their belongings led to the seizure of 10 kg ganja from them. Two other men who accompanied the accused fled when police stopped them. Meanwhile, New Washermenpet police have arrested five men and seized tablets kept for drug abuse. Five mobile phones and a two-wheeler was also seized from them.
