4-year-old boy dies after horse kicks him in Pammal
Though his family and neighbours rushed Gowtham to a nearby private hospital and then to Chromepet GH, he was declared brought dead.
CHENNAI: A four-year-old boy died after he was bucked by a horse near his house in Pammal on Wednesday.
Police said the deceased Gowtham of Shankar Nagar near Pammal was the son of Dilliraj (39), a cab driver. On Wednesday around 7.30 pm, Gowtham who was playing outside the house noticed two horses passing the street. Gowtham, who followed the horses, tried to pull the tail of one of the horses. Police said a horse kicked Gowtham and he fell on the road and cried with unbearable pain. Though his family and neighbours rushed Gowtham to a nearby private hospital and then to Chromepet GH, he was declared brought dead. On information, the Shankar Nagar police who visited the spot sent the body for post-mortem examination. Police said the case has been registered under Section 174 and trying to trace the owner of the horses. The locals said nobody owns a horse in Shankar Nagar and they might have come from the neighbourhood via the Maduravoyal service road.
