CHENNAI: Tamil actor and music director Vijay Antony spoke on Chennai's railway station murder, where a 20-year-old college girl was killed after she was pushed in front of a moving train by a 31-year-old man, whose proposal she refused to entertain, on Thursday.

He took to his official Twitter handle and tweeted, "On behalf of the general public, I urge the judiciary to punish Sathish, who killed Satya and caused the suicide of Satya's father, and not pronounce verdict after 10 years, please immediately investigate and punish him." (sic)

On Thursday noon, while Sathya, a B.Com second-year student, was waiting for train at the St. Thomas Mount railway station where she usually boards an EMU to T Nagar. When the 20-year-old was with her friends, Sathish begun altercating with her. In a fit of rage while arguing, Sathish is said to have pushed Sathya to the track where a speeding local train towards Tambaram approached. After committing the crime Sathish fled the spot, and 4 special teams were deployed to nab him. He was arrested at Thoraipakkam in the early hours of Friday.
