Tell us about yourself

I have honed my fashion skills at National College of Design in 2013 and own a studio in Adyar named D Sign D. I love to play with fabrics, cuts and colours. My creations are made with intricate care and attention to detail, which gives a very vibrant personality to the one who adorns it.

What is your collection at India Runway Week all about?

My collection is called Ladylike. It is a mélange of elegant yet playful colour palate of soft pastels of rose quartz, serenity, arctic ice and lavender fog. This collection also exhibits fine techniques of the hand-crafted art of metal sequins work, embossed 3D surface ornamentation with vibrant metallic colours of gold and white. The outfits are finely tailored to be feminine and bold which in Indo-western silhouettes to reflect modern sensibilities.

Does it also give out a social message?

It intends to highlight the need to put a full stop on gender discrimination and strike a balance in this chaotic world so as to bring peace and equality.
