Nithyasree Mahadevan to perform for Sevalaya
Award-winning singer Nithyashree Mahadevan will perform at a live concert in Chennai on September 20. The proceeds of the programme will go to Sevalaya, a charitable organisation.

Sevalaya, a registered charity, guided by the principles of Mahakavi Bharathiyar, Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda, has been serving underprivileged rural people for the past 28 years.
Sevalaya also conducts medical camps in and around Thiruninravur, runs a community college for rural youth who have disrupted their education, offers boarding facilities for orphans.
Nityashree Mahadevan, an award-winning Carnatic musician, has kindly consented to Sevalaya's request to perform a program and donate the proceeds to Sevalaya, for funding its social causes.
The Carnatic vocalist will be performing all Bharathiyar songs in the presence of chief guest Niranjan Bharathi, the Great Great Grandson of Bharathiyar. The event will also be dignified by Swami Omkarananda, a spiritual leader.
