Headed by Aashima Sharma, the hotel’s general manager, and Teuku, its food and executive chef, staff and guests took part in the traditional ceremony as they poured in liquor and wielded their magic on the invigorating mixture of raisins, black currants, prunes, glazed dates, cherries, candid organs, lemon rinds, cashews, pistachios and almonds, accompanied by lot of cheering and camaraderie, weeks before Christmas. The ritual, religiously followed across the world, is said to be a harbinger of good tidings and happiness.
