White-gold or blue-black? The debate is back

Back in February 2015, the internet broke after Scottish musician Caitlin McNeill posted a picture of a dress on Tumblr with the caption, ‘Guys please help me — is this dress white and gold , or blue and black? Me and my friends can’t agree and we are freaking out’. The photo went viral as people made impassioned arguments over the colours in the photo. And just when you thought that storm had passed, the same old debate is back to haunt us, albeit in the form of a pair of flip-flops. First shared by Twitter user @positivedem, the debate over the colour combination of the flip-flops in the picture blew up in no time. And it’s hard to tell who’s winning, Team WhiteGold or Team Black-Blue. “I thought the dress was blue and black but I think the flip flops are gold and white and now I’m questioning everything about life,” wrote one user. “It’s anything but blue and black,” wrote another. While experts have confirmed that the flip-flops are actually blue and black, strangely, that hasn’t settled the argument online yet. So, what do you see?
