Life's Lessons: Right effort makes all the difference

An engine in a factory failed. The owners tried one expert after another, but none could fix it.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing engines since he was young. He had a large bag of tools and immediately set to work. He looked at it carefully, reached into his bag and pulled out a hammer.  

He gently tapped on it and the engine sprang into life. A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for Rs 10,000. 

“What?!” the owners exclaimed. “He hardly did anything!”  So, they wrote a note to the old man, “Please send us an itemised bill.” 

The man sent a bill that read: Tapping with a hammer- Rs 2. Knowing where to  tap - Rs 9,998.   

Moral: Effort is important, but knowing where to make it in your life, makes all the difference.
