Organised by InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Hotel and Resort, and Wedding Sutra, the gala event held at the resort, saw specialists from Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Goa, explore the temple town as a prime destination for weddings.

Speaking at the venue, Vijai Singh, general manager of the hotel, said, “The idea is to elevate Mamallapuram as an alternative to places like Kerala, Goa and Rajasthan, which are the go-to options for destination weddings. In view of the same, we hope to turn our hotel into one of the preferred beach resorts for weddings in India. Needless to say, the culture, history, various water sports and other attractions of Mamallapuram play a large role.”
