Weaving a vintage tale

The rare collection of sarees, displayed to mark National Handloom Day, had pieces as old as 90 years. The exhibition drew the who’s who of the art, music and film industry. 

Actress Jyothika, who looked lovely in a cream saree and wearing temple jewellery, graced the occasion with her motherin-law and sisters-in-law. 

Also present on the occasion were industrialist Nalli Kuppuswamy, noted Carnatic singers Sudha Ragunathan and Aruna Sairam, who also donned lovely silk sarees.
