The gala evening was a showcase of Women power that, against all odds, are trailblazing to the top to prove that they are in no way lesser than men.
The vision behind this event, as said by Ms. Mahalakshmi Sarvanan (Founder of WEI), was to shine some light on the fact that – Everyone has dreams and everyone is working to realize them. Everyone has tried to challenge convention.
Everyone has the potential to start their own business and become agents of change, but all they require is a little push and we as a Women’s empowerment platform, want to be that push.
The show opened with some words of encouragement and wisdom from Ms Patricia Narayan ( Owner of Sandheepa Restaurants), Mr Kumaravel (Owner of Naturals) and Ms Jayshree (Art Director, cinema) followed by a dance performance that urged women to set themselves free from their metaphorical cages.
Entrepreneurship is no longer restricted to age in this era. This was evident when Kidpreneurs walk with such confidence on the ramp. The event helped put a spotlight on some young upcoming geniuses called who are designing, writing and sketching and publishing their work at such a tender age. It was truly inspiring.
The focus of the evening was a scintillating fashion show by women entrepreneurs who were flaunting their ethnic, western and Indo-western looks with the greatest elegance.
“A Ramp Walk with a difference”, as it’s called. This was followed by a Showstopper ramp walk by women entrepreneurs who have excelled in their field of work and were here to instil some inspiration by being live testimonials of successful women entrepreneurship.
The evening was graced by a ravishing performance by Ms. Koteshwari Kannan (A World Record holder). Overall the event was a grand success owing to the sponsors Palam Silks and Vishwa and Devji Diamond Jewellery and the event curator Shiv Dhanya.
With multiple highlights of the event, we can conclude that women can be very deadly with their combination of beauty and brains.
