Shun winter dullness with these homemade masks

Winters may be your favourite season, but your skin might not agree. One of the most common problems your skin faces during this time is that of dull skin.

Prepare these quick and easy to DIY masks to give your skin that much-needed dose of TLC during the colder months.

Honey mask: Hectic schedules leave no time for elaborate skincare rituals, and we completely understand that. Fight winter dullness by just washing your face with a cleanser and applying a layer of honey. Just leave it on for 10 minutes, and let it moisturise your skin to give you that radiant glow.

Oatmeal mask: Get rid of dull, flaky skin by combining honey, oatmeal and yoghurt to make a soothing oatmeal mask. Apply it on and let it stay for 15-20 minutes. Gently cleanse your skin while taking the mask off, scrubbing away any flakiness in the process.

Yoghurt and rose mask: Mix some honey, crushed rose petals and a few drops of rose water with a bowl of thick yoghurt to brighten your skin. Apply on to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water to see the glow.

Aloe vera and almond oil mask: This mask can easily be considered to be a super fix for all your winter woes. Just mix about eight drops of almond oil with a teaspoon of aloe vera gel, and apply it onto your face, massaging in circular motions for about 15 minutes. You can leave it on for as little as 30 minutes, or as long as the entire night. Wash off with cold water for a super moisturised, radiant glow.

Carrot and honey mask: Mix two teaspoons of fresh carrot juice with a teaspoon of honey to make this mask. Apply it on your face, gently rubbing it in for about 15 minutes. Let it dry for 10 minutes and rinse off for soft, supple and glowing skin.
