This year, the internet is smiling over the reaction of an elderly lady who got very excited about her Christmas gift after wanting for nearly two decades. A video posted by the elderly woman’s grand-daughter, shows how she reacted when she received the gift on her 72nd birthday. Zahria Lavette Palmer posted a video on Instagram showing her grandmother jump with joy on seeing a designer handbag, which she wanted 20 years ago. After the video went viral, it got the attention of the brand, which offered to give a personalised gift to her.

Relationships are fragile and need to be handled carefully but here is a Japanese woman who is happy when couples break up. Mari Fujiwara, a Japanese Youtuber, was disappointed as she did not have a partner to celebrate Christmas with. Hence she devised a plan to enjoy others’ break-ups. For this, she attached a bulb to her laptop and whenever a user tweets “I broke up”, the bulb lights up. Reacting to comments asking why she was taking pleasure in other peoples’ sorrow, Mari stated that her idea is only to make herself feel less lonely and said that she loved the idea of romancing and loving each other. “Love is beautiful and special,” she stated in a tweet.
