Arvind Swami shines brightly as MGR in 'Thalaivi' new teaser

The new teaser of AL Vijay's biopic 'Thalaivi' on former late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was released today, on the day of MGR's birth anniversary.
Arvind Swami, who is playing the legendary actor and Tamil Nadu's favorite Chief Minister MG Ramachandran has nailed the role through his impressive performance in the teaser.
In the teaser, Arvind Swami was seen shaking his legs to MGR's popular black and white number "Naan ungal veetu pillai". Arvind Swami effortlessly delivered the movements and body language of MGR in the teaser.
Arvind Swami took to his Twitter on Friday morning to share the first look posters of him as MGR.
The new teaser has created a new wave of excitement among the fans for the movie. The movie which is being filmed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi has Kangana Ranaut playing the Iron lady J Jayalalithaa. The film is slated to release on June 26, 2020.
'Thalaivi' has a stellar starcast of Kangana Ranaut, Arvind Swami, Priyamani, Samuthirakani and Madhoo among the others. GV Prakash is scoring music for the movie, while Vishal Vittal is handling the camera.
