When learning one’s own mother tongue is considered a difficult task to many, a video of a Japanese woman speaking fluently in Bengali has amazed many online. The video of Sakura Ishikawa, shows her talking fluently in Bengali and she is enjoying the love and appreciation coming from netizens. In the video, Sakura shares information about her educational background, her profession, and hobbies in Bengali. Sakura also mentions that she likes ‘ilish maach’, a favourite among Bengalis. However, she admits that she did not like rosagull the first time she tasted it, but liked it after trying it several times. Bengali users who were delighted after watching the video appreciated her efforts and also commented few easy words for her to learn.
College students hold funeral for fish, which they treated as ‘brother’
A pet is like a family member to pet lovers and losing one is a huge sadness for them. A video circulating online shows that a pet is not only close to family but also to a bunch of college students, who held a funeral for a fish that died recently. Uploaded in social platform, the students are seen singing songs in memory of the fish, who they treat as their own ‘brother’, which passed out recently. A group of students in University of Texas in Austin recently organised a funeral service for Loompa, a fish that lived in an aquarium in the campus. The funeral service for Loompa featured music, song and an eulogy. The uploaded video showed the funeral being attended by students and staff.

taken at Gir forest, Gujarat, shows a lioness and her cub walking on a trail when they encounter a biker coming towards them. However, without attacking the biker, the mother-child duo move away, leaving space for the motorist to pass through. Shared many times online, the video was a pleasant surprise to many. The video however sparked a debate but many were glad that the biker escaped unhurt. Watching the video, an user commented, “It is amazing to see them respect human space,” while another said,” Live and let live.”
