Woman rescue of pet dog chasing ducks from icy water earns praise online
It was a sudden yet daring move by Alin Naumova, who did no think twice of jumping into icy waters to save her pet dog. The Russian woman, mother of three kids, quickly dashed into the river to save her pet that got stuck in the water while chasing ducks. The video, taken by an Instagram user Tolkacheva Katya shows the woman moving towards the dog and then bringing it back safely. Thankfully while she nears the shore, two passers-by lend their hand to help her out. Locals who saw the heroic act of the woman later provided her and her pet with warm blankets. The video has so far 5 million likes and pet lovers were glad that both the dog and its owner were safe.
Twitterati lauds vets for saving python that swallowed a beach towel
While pythons are known to eat food that are twice their size, a python swallowed a beach towel that was retrieved successfully by SASH-Small Animal Specialist Hospital. The 18-year-old carpet python weighing 5kgs and 3m long was taken to the hospital after it ate the beach towel at night. The towel was removed from its gastrointestinal tract after which it was sent home. The video that is circulating online shows how the veterinarians took out the towel and users were glad that the python was alive. Talking about the weird things that snakes could eat, the comments in the post drew a lot of amusement from users.
Reporter’s varied filters during Facebook live amuse netizens
A North Caroline TV reporter was surprised when he realised that he was on air with various filters. Justin Hinton, who accidently clicked on the filters did not realise till he got comments from his followers. The filters that amused his followers were goggly eyes, magic hat, winners medal etc. The Emmy-winning journalist found out about his animated makeover only after reading the comments viewers left under the video on Facebook. “Wait, Misty, did I have a weird face?” a flabbergasted Hinton can be heard asking a colleague off-camera. After a long pause, he adds, “Oh, there are special effects on the phone.”
