Actors Rajinikanth and Silambarasan extend their financial support to Thavasi for cancer treatment

Actor Thavasi has made his mark in the Kollywood industry through various supporting roles. He gained wide popularity among the Tamil audience through his role in Sivakarthikeyan's Varuthapadadha Vaalibar Sangam. He has also acted in Rajinikanth's upcoming film Annaatthe. 

Recently, Thavasi posted a video, which went viral in social media. In the video, actor Thavasi stated that he has been suffering from cancer and he will be able to return back to acting if the cine stars help him for his treatment cost. Thavasi was seen in an unrecognizable state in the video. After the video grasped the attention of many, Kollywood stars started to come forward to help the ill actor.

Rajinikanth has reportedly told his office members to take care of Thavasi's hospital and treatment costs. According to media reports, Simbu has donated Rs 1 lakh to Thavasi for his treatment. 

Vijay Sethupathi has donated Rs 1 lakh, while actor Sivakarthikeyan aided Rs 25,000 to Thavasi. Soori donated Rs 25,000 and has also agreed to provide meals to the actor and his helper in the hospital.
