Jayam Ravi Starrer 'Bhoomi' to Have Direct OTT Release on Pongal 2021

After much long wait, Jayam Ravi's 25th movie- 'Bhoomi' is all set to release, but in OTT platform. Earlier a few months ago, the makers of the movie had rubbished that Bhoomi will have a direct OTT release, considering the fact that its Ravi's 25th film, they wanted it to be a theatrical release.

However, things didn't turn up as planned for the makers due to the COVID-19 SOPs and they have finally decided to release Bhoomi in Disney+ Hotstar and the movie is slated to release for Pongal 2021. Further reports stated that the satellite rights of the movie are acquired by Sun TV.

Jayam Ravi took to his social media and made this announcement along with a long thank-you-note to his fans for their love and support.

Bhoomi, directed by Lakshman is Ravi's third collaboration with the director after Romeo Juliet and Bogan. The movie also stars Nidhhi Agerwal, Sakshi Dwivedi and Saranya Ponvannan in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi has completed the first schedule of Mani Ratnam's most anticipated historical movie 'Ponniyin Selvan' in which Ravi is speculated to play the titular role.
