Raj's Jats may revive agitation if promise not met: Congress MLA
Congress MLA and prominent Jat leader Vishwendra Singh today said the government should fulfil its promise that a bill will be brought in the upcoming Assembly session to include Jats in OBC category.

If the government fails to do so, the Rajasthan Jats may revive the agitation, Singh said.
"Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Arun Chaturvedi has assured us to give reservation. If the government changes its stand, the agitation may be revived," Singh told a gathering of the party workers.
Jats in Rajasthan already have reservation in government jobs and educational institutions. However, the community did not enjoy the benefit of quotas in Bharatpur and Dholpur because they formed part of the royalty in these two districts.
"We have requested the OBC Commission to visit Dholpur and Bharatpur areas and assess the socio-economic status of the Jat community there," the Jat leader had said on Tuesday while calling off the agitation.
