IIT Kharagpur Business Club partnered with four other students from Belgium to come up with the winning idea, IIT officials said. Around 400 participants from 25 countries were selected for the final round in Europe’s largest student case competition organised by Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in Brussels earlier this month.
The winning team members are Nishant Jayaswal of biotechnology and Manik Aggarwal of agriculture and food engineering department, both studying in their third year.
The task given to them was centred on changing the shape of the compressed cans developed by Unilever in order to create a different brand image. Another team from IIT-Kgp became runner up in the negotiation challenge of the competition, officials said.
