Going Viral: Memes on censorship of film Udta Punjab, take dig at CBFC

While everyone on the entertainment spectrum has come out in support of the film, not much has been said about why Censor Board chief Pankaj Nihalani is hell-bent on butchering the movie. It is definitely a serious concern for freedom of expression of filmmakers in the country. But amidst the heated debates and exchanges among various sections of society, there have been numerous memes doing the rounds on social media. 

Some of them take a direct potshot on Pankaj Nihalani, while others are trying to put across the point that how the hard-hitting film is being changed into a ‘sanskaari’ version by the Censor Board. They are being widely shared by netizens.
