The village shot to global fame after former US president Bill Clinton visited Jabrouli, in Mohanlalganj tehsil of Lucknow in 2014.

The villagers are now hoping that if Hillary becomes the President, she will visit their village like her husband, which will help their village develop and they will get world-class facilities.

The villagers have started praying for Clinton’s victory and celebrations have also begun, as they were distributing ladoos among themselves and wishing the best for the Democratic presidential candidate Clinton, who has been pitched against Republican nominee Donald Trump. The villagers are offering special prayer for the Clinton family at Khadeshwar Mahadev temple in the village regularly.

Locals were seen standing in large numbers holding posters sporting her face and chanting her name.

Two years ago, in July 2014, when the former US president had visited Jabrauli village in Mohanlalganj, Clinton had initiated a health scheme there.

Village pradhan Ramesh Chandra told reporters here on Saturday that the roads were washed clean, the villagers had decorated their homes and everyone made preparations for Bill Clinton’s visit.

He said everyone in the village was happy as Jabrauli was chosen by an international leader like Bill Clinton for his visit. “No one from a position like that had ever come or has come after him. The visit gave Jabrauli a name in the international arena,” he further said.

“Nobody listens to our pleas here, if she (Hillary) comes to visit us, we will propose a stadium and a school to be built for our children,” he further added.

Everyone in the village was ecstatic as an international leader chose Jabrauli. His visit gave Jabrauli a gleaming name across the globe as a ‘special’ village.
