There are 1,100-odd KV schools spread across the country with some branches abroad. In a letter to senior officials, Additional Commissioner of the KVS U N Khware said that there have been many complaints from parents regarding cases of private tuition business in these schools.
“This is a very serious issue which requires immediate systemic action to prevent illegal tuition business by some of our teachers,” Khware said in his letter to senior functionaries in the KV administration. He observed that the Education Code for KVs barred such practices and the private tuition business affects the trust that parents repose in the education system.
“Needless to say, complaints related to tuitions need to be probed thoroughly in a discreet manner and dealt with desired strictness,” Khware wrote to senior officials, adding that any complaint received in this regard should be taken seriously.
