NDRF launch search for bodies of two stunt actors
Experts from NDRF today mounted a search to trace two Kannada cinema actors who drowned in a lake on the outskirts of the city after jumping from a helicopter during the shooting an action climax of a Kannada film yesterday.

The two actors had jumped into water along with the hero Duniya vijay while shooting a climax scene for Kannada film 'Mastigudi' at Thippagondanahalli lake about 35 km from here.
Vijay along with Raghav Uday and Anil Kumar jumped into the water from a helicopter hovering about 100 feet above the water.
However, Vijay was rescued as he wore a life jacket, while the other two who were not wearing any safety gear met the watery grave as the engine of a mechanised boat that stood by to rescue the actors failed to start.
Search continued with flash lights till late night as the efforts were fruitless, the search was resumed today with expert divers from National Disaster Rescue Operation, State Disaster Management team besides Fire Fighters and Police.
Four dinghy were pressed into service and expert divers were venturing in teams in search of the body in the backwaters of Thippagondanahalli lake from where drinking water was supplied to the Bengaluru city.
