Note ban not to hit services: Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam

There will be no compromise on services providing to the devotees, especially due to the cash crunch situation after the Centre’s demonetisation decision, both at Tirumala and in Tirupati, Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao said.

Speaking at a review meeting, Dr Rao directed the officials of various departments engaged in pilgrim services, including darshan, prasadam, accommodation and Annaprasadam not to compromise in providing necessary amenities to the pilgrims as those should be on top priority. He also said A nnaprasad am would continue without any hassle. 

The EO instructed to keep more swiping machines for the convenience of the pilgrims and see that they do not face any problem. Dr Rao directed the officials to implement health insurance to the workers negated in Potu, Transport, Annaprasadam, s where more physical activity was involved. The EO felt the need to enhance cleanliness in Srivari Mettu footpath route. He directed the broadcasting officials to ensure that the entire premises echo with Govinda Namas. He instructed the officials of donor cell and reception wing to take initiative to maintain the functioning of the 15 caution deposit counters located in Tirumala as donor service counters too in helping out donors with necessary information and e-donation.
